HVAC in Santa Teresa, NM

Israel Sheet Metal serves Santa Teresa, NM — the homes, and the commercial corridor around the port of entry — from our shop at 6928 Doniphan Dr in Canutillo, a short run down the valley. Santa Teresa is a border community in every sense: another country a few miles south, and another state's rulebook the moment you cross the Texas line. Mechanical work here falls under New Mexico's Construction Industries Division, and we carry New Mexico license #359536 (plus Texas #TACLA00118528E) so that line never becomes your problem. AC repair, heater repair, refrigerated-air conversion, and the commercial sheet metal the industrial parks run on. Same-day service Monday through Friday, free quotes on installs, and $0 down financing. Call (915) 877-2284.

What makes Santa Teresa different

None of this applies the same way to the rest of El Paso — so we don't treat it the same.

A New Mexico address means New Mexico rules

Santa Teresa sits in Doña Ana County, New Mexico — functionally part of the El Paso metro, legally another state. Mechanical licensing and permits here run through New Mexico's Construction Industries Division, and a company holding only a Texas license is not covered on this side of the line. We hold NM #359536 alongside our Texas license, and we have worked both sides since 1992.

The port-of-entry industrial corridor

The Santa Teresa Port of Entry opened in 1993 to take pressure off El Paso's bridges, and the industrial parks around it — warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, the rail terminal — have been building out ever since. That corridor runs on commercial mechanical equipment: rooftop units, long duct runs, exhaust systems and make-up air. Fabricating that sheet metal in-house is what our name is about.

Monsoon humidity, measured next door

The National Weather Service office that covers the entire Borderland is headquartered right here in Santa Teresa. Its forecasters document how monsoon southeast winds push humid air into the region from late June through September — exactly when a swamp cooler stops keeping up. If your August is "the cooler runs all day and the house never cools," that is the reason.

Desert dust plus construction dust

Santa Teresa is fine Chihuahuan Desert dust country, and active construction around the community and the industrial parks adds more of it. Filters load up well before the 90 days printed on the box — closer to every 30 in peak season — and a dust-caked outdoor coil makes the compressor run longer, work harder and die younger.

Santa Teresa HVAC — FAQ

Yes. Santa Teresa is part of our regular New Mexico service area along with Sunland Park, Chaparral and Anthony, NM. Our Canutillo shop at 6928 Doniphan Dr is a short run down the valley, so Santa Teresa fits the normal same-day schedule Monday through Friday. Call (915) 877-2284.

Yes — New Mexico license #359536, under New Mexico's Construction Industries Division, alongside our Texas license #TACLA00118528E. That matters in Santa Teresa: a Texas-only contractor is not covered on this side of the state line, which becomes a real problem for permitted replacements, warranty claims and home sales.

Yes. The logistics and manufacturing corridor around the Santa Teresa Port of Entry runs on rooftop units, long duct runs, exhaust systems and make-up air — and we fabricate our own sheet metal in-house, the part of that work most companies subcontract. We have done commercial mechanical work since 1992. Call (915) 877-2284 and we will come look at the building.

Yes — heater repair and heating service on the New Mexico side is routine for us. Desert nights turn cold fast once the season changes, and a filter loaded with a summer of desert and construction dust is the most common reason a heater struggles on its first start. Same-day service Monday through Friday; call (915) 877-2284.
